Questions on open source-Anti Trust

1. It is a type of program that allows anyone to use it without paying a huge price. Open source is also defined as a set of principles and practices that promote access to the design and production of goods and knowledge. Some examples of programs that use open source are: FireFox, Jasper Soft, Compiere, Zenoss, Centric CRM, and Zimbra.

2. I think that one of the meanings could be referring to the fact that almost everyone who makes computer programs is trying to make a big profit off of it. This could also apply to the fact that the average person does not have the chance to improve software once they purchase it. This phrase means to me that software should not be sold at a huge price, because it belongs to everyone. I think that it also means that people have the right to alter software to their specific needs and wants.

3. I think technology is the largest single factor present in our everyday lives. We use it in an alarm to wake up, in our shower to get the water temperature just how we like it, we watch the tv or radio in the morning. Before we even step out the door we have already used technology in an immense way. For me, I see technology as a way to have fun and learn at the same time. It could be negative though just because sometimes I think it is overused. As long as we utilize this tool in moderation, we'll be ok in my opinion.

4. I don't know how recent it is, but I think the artificial heart has changed the world the most. In a situation where no hope is given, an aritficial heart can be the solution. I'm positive that millions of people throughout the world have felt the powerful and peaceful repercussions of a replaced heart, whether in their family, friends, or neighbors have had experience with them.
